Jack at Scarlet Rose was fantastic. He knew it was my first time getting a tattoo and I explained how doing anything for the first time was something I hated doing, but he made the entire experience pleasant and relaxed. Getting a tattoo was something I wanted to do since I was able to, but for near 10 years now I found excuses not to. Now however, there are no excuses to go back, only reasons. If you're nervous, on the fence or anxious about the process, speak to Jack. I promise you, you won't regret it.

Got a damn fine tattoo from Steve last weekend as a last minute walk-in. It was small, and required clean crisp lines. It was perfectly executed. He also took a tattoo I got just before lockdown at another shop from shambles to sorted. Everything healed cleanly and beautifully. The line depth was precisely placed- no raised bits, no scarring, no 'tattoo you can feel in the dark' here. The black is dense and even. I highly recommend this shop and Steve in particular. Popped in on the off chance of getting a tattoo soon on my head, spoke with Steve and he designed a really nice piece. I was booked in for 2 weeks later and when I see the design I was very pleased. I was that happy I wish I had gone to him for my sleeves and ribs. Fantastic tattoo studio and looking to book my otherside of my head. My wife has even booked in for a piece.

Had a large Sacred Heart tattoo on my chest, I hadn’t had any artwork done in many years, therefore was very apprehensive on going to an unknown artist to me with such a meaningful and large tattoo...........WOW Steve Curwen “the artist” was unbelievable from start to finish, the time, effort, skill and attention to detail were second to none. I have friends and family who are regular visitors to tattoo artists and they have all commented on the beauty and skill in Steve’s work.......I highly recommend this studio and artist to anyone getting or thinking in getting work done.....I will definitely be going back Fantastically unbelievable work.

Had my Greek flag tattoo done today. Best experience I've had, informative, friendly and laid back staff. Discussed options for finishing off a previous tattoo and pleasantly surprised to find it is also possible to have previous tattoos I had done in the 80's reworked to revive them as well..
