After a botched job at another music shop in MK, I went into Newport music and spoke to Phil about my problems with my acoustic electric, I had serious back ground interference and it was unplayable. He took the job on and found the root cause and put it right for a reasonable price. It was ready in time for Xmas to entertain family and friends! He also gave it a good clean and restring. A fellow guitar player had a go over Xmas and commented on how well it sounded and played. Highly recommend and I would not go anywhere else now.

Phil doesn’t sell instruments because he wants to make money. Phil is passionate about advising you correctly, so you buy the right thing for you. It doesn’t stop there. Phil helps by finding cost effective solutions for repairs and shows his love for all things music by supporting the music community. He thinks nothing of going above and beyond to help local musicians. You can’t learn this sort of behaviour; you’re either a good egg, or not a good egg. Phil is at least a dozen good quality, free range eggs.

I went in to buy my son a Guitar and the owner went above and beyond to help me. My son loves his Guitar! I’ll be back to buy a Guitar for my youngest son. Highly recommend this shop.

I went in to upgrade my ukulele phill bought my 1 yr old ukulele off me and I bought a really nice new one slightly better then my first one then hopefully I will do same next year until I get the best one in the shop thanks phill

I have been going to Phil for pretty much 15 + years, he's set up just about every guitar i've owned and every time comes back unbelievably good. Also repaired my old valve amp I had (that another local shop, had for 2 weeks + and couldn't fix) in 2 days. Really well priced and always honest work done. Extremely knowledgeable and well experienced. I would highly recommend with just about anything music related. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my guitars especially !

Had two old unloved guitars re strung one of which needed some work to get the action back on point. Next day the guitars are like brand new after Phil did his magic and at a very reasonable price. Great music shop! Highly recommend.
